My name is Michelle L. Fox hence the name "MLF" Photography & Design. I specialize in real estate photography and have been operating since August of 2013. I've loved photography since I was a kid. I begged my parents for my first camera at the age of seven and I got it that Christmas! It was one of those thin flat Kodak film cameras that you had to advance with your thumb and use cube flash bulbs. Wow. Anyhow, I've had many cameras since then. I'm currently using a Sony mirrorless model. Man do I like it! It's lightweight which is great for the joints, and it has options galore, which appeals to my techy side. Of course I'm always looking for the next one. Though I think I'm gonna stick with the Sony brand for a while and see where it all goes. BTW I do not work for, or am part owner of Sony ;)

I got into real estate photography after a night of talking with a friend about life and what my next journey was going to be. My husband and I own a couple residential rental properties and I've learned quite a bit about the investment side of the real estate industry, but I wasn't interested in the hours, or demand, of being a real estate agent. So I started exploring ways in which I could assist or intertwine with the real estate industry. I looked at my skills, experience and background. Marketing, that's how I was going to do it. I have a degree in Visual Communications which I had initially applied to my career as a Graphic and Layout Designer. I did that for about 15 years. I've always been involved in photography, so it just kinda all fit together. Oh and did I mention that I wanted to be an interior designer when I was in high school? The only reason I didn't pursue that was because I was talked out of it by, none other than, my interior design teacher! Yup, she couldn't make a living at it, so she was convinced no one else could either and I was a dumb kid looking for guidance. Anyhow, that's where the staging consultations come in. Last year I decided to incorporate that into my list of services too.
